Stats Prove: The Clock Is Ticking

Glendale, California-based Bridge Ratings has been tracking audience erosion from terrestrial radio due to generally less time spent with AM/FM radio and more time spent with a variety of digital media, including MP3 players (including iPods), Internet radio, satellite radio and Compact Disc for the past two years.

They just released the latest quarterly update and if you hadn't felt like you have been getting a wakeup call for quite some time now, that alarm is ringing again. Time to open up new locations for your brand on as many new media platforms as possible.

The good news: we still have time. Country's more moderate and passive, less revolutionary, audience actually spent more time with analog radio in the last 90 days than in the previous quarter, but even there the long-term trends are obvious.
