Congrats To The CCMA Radio Award Winners

CKRY (Country 105), Calgary's smiling crew was seen posing for photos following the Gala Dinner Sunday night where the first CCMA Awards were presented. No wonder: they were surprised by CRS-Nashville representatives Ed Salamon (CRB Exec Dir) and Jeff Walker (CMA and CRS Board Member) with the first-ever International Award and also received CCMA Major Market Station of the Year honors as well. PD Phil Kallsen, who is also Corus Entertainment's Director of Country Programming is celebrating his 20th year at CKRY.

A&O had three horses in the "Station of the Year" CCMA Radio Awards race, Pattison's CJJR (JRfm), Vancouver and CHAT, Medicine Hat, as well as KICX 104.1, Midland-Barrie-Orillia, and we are constantly proud of all these stations' achievements.

Still, it's a big thrill seeing friends up there on the podium getting recognition from their peers. So it was terrific honor watching KICX, Midland, GM Mora Austin, PD Ted Roop and Group PD Derm Carnduff making their 2005 Secondary Market CCMA Station of the Year acceptance speeches as owner Paul Larche beamed in the background.
