Games

From the gang at Ron Chase's Radio-Online.com:

MYSTERY MOUTH
We always record the best sitcoms or reality show every night and make a dub of the best lines from the shows. Keep 'em short :05 to :10 seconds. The next day we play it and ask listeners to identify the "Mystery Mouth" for fun and prizes.

ANSWERING MACHINES
We did a show on answering machines of (city). Listeners with interesting ones called in (of course, we took their numbers off the air) and called them back. We also called local celebrities and listened to their answering machines/voice mail systems.

DIALER DECODER
You give them a number and they have to figure out what it spells by looking at their key pad. Example: 839-3378 spells TEX FEST (which is a big party our station is throwing). You can you anywords. We like to keep them at 7 letters or 10 and then it sounds like a long distance number.

LYRIC OR LIE
We give some crazy lyric lines from some songs and some bogus lines and they tell us if it's really a lyric from a song or a lie. Example: "Our champagne and cavier is an RC Cola and a moon pie." It's a real line/lyric from a song.

THE CALL WAITING GAME
Put a listener on the air without giving their name or city location. For thirty seconds they give out clues about themselves to try and get someone to call. They must have call waiting so you can hear the incoming call. Somebody gives them a buzz, they win prizes.
